Hello, dear QuietQuest community!
Today, I want to share a meditation experience that’s been on my mind. As you all know, I’ve been meditating for almost five years now, and I’ve been on this spiritual journey for nearly 11 years. Before that, I was deeply rooted in my Christian faith, praying daily. Reflecting on it now, I believe those early prayer practices prepared me for the deep meditative experiences I have today. There’s something about prayer and meditation that feels interconnected—as if both take you to a similar internal space of peace and connection. If you know, you know. It’s not easy to explain, but it feels like coming home to something within.
There are times in meditation when the experiences feel deeply personal, meant only for my reflection and understanding. But other times, the insights beg to be shared, creating a ripple of meaning not just for me but for anyone willing to explore these realms with me. Recently, I had one of those experiences, and I’ve been reflecting on it deeply.
The Recent Meditation
During this meditation, I experienced something quite beautiful and unexpected. As I reached a state of deep relaxation, a bright blueish-white light filled my mind’s eye. It was fast and startling in its brightness, but I’ve been practicing for so long that I managed to stay in the moment without being shaken out of my state. It was an internal acknowledgement—just allowing the experience to happen.
Not long after that, I saw a yellowish-orange light, more yellow than orange. This light felt different—more like looking across a dark sea at a setting sun, though brighter, stretching across my mind’s eye in a way that filled the space with a golden warmth. The sun wasn’t in the vision; it was simply that light—a glow that felt significant but calm.
And then, I saw a vision of the night sky—a beautiful, haunting sky with clouds and a full moon. It was as though I were gazing out a window, seeing the perfect serenity of the scene. The vision lasted only a few seconds, just long enough to take in the beauty. But the moon reappeared two more times in my mind’s eye, this time in a soft orange glow. Not too bright, not in the sky—just the moon itself, floating in the vision.
These images have stayed with me, and I’ve been curious about their meaning. As many of you know, I’ve had significant experiences in meditation, including the appearance of a brownish-gold sphere. That sphere felt deeply symbolic of wholeness, balance, and unity. Could these recent lights and the moon imagery connect to that earlier vision?
Connecting to the Sphere
In a previous meditation, I encountered a crumbling and reforming brownish-gold sphere that rotated in my mind’s eye. The sphere left a lasting impression, and its symbolism—wholeness, balance, protection—has stayed with me ever since. I reflected on how the sphere could represent infinite potential, cycles, and the process of growth, much like the moon does with its phases.
Now, as I reflect on the recent meditation, I can’t help but wonder: Is the sphere part of a larger theme my mind is processing over time? The blueish-white light felt like an energy of clarity or awakening, while the yellowish-orange light seemed to symbolize empowerment or personal creativity. And then there’s the moon—a symbol of cycles, intuition, and emotional growth. The moon reappearing multiple times, especially in its orange hue, might be reinforcing the same themes of balance and renewal that the sphere brought forth.
Could these lights and the moon be reflections of the same energies the sphere represents? Perhaps they are external manifestations of the deeper unity and wholeness I felt when I first saw the sphere. In a way, I feel like my subconscious is guiding me through these layers, helping me explore themes of balance, personal transformation, and growth.
Understanding Symbolism: Exploring Possible Meanings
While I’ve been reflecting on these symbols in my meditations, I’m also learning as I go. I wasn’t raised in any tradition that taught me about these meanings, so my journey into symbolism has been one of exploration, wonder, and curiosity. I want to share some of the possible interpretations of the lights, the sphere, and the moon for anyone who, like me, is curious to dig deeper.
- Blueish-White Light: In various spiritual practices, blue or white light is often seen as a symbol of higher consciousness, clarity, or divine presence. Blue can be associated with communication (throat chakra), while white symbolizes purity and unity. In some traditions, seeing a bright white light is a sign of spiritual awakening or a connection to higher realms.
- Yellowish-Orange Light: The colors yellow and orange are often linked to the solar plexus (yellow) and sacral (orange) chakras. Yellow is seen as the color of personal power, intellect, and clarity, while orange can represent creativity, passion, and emotional expression. Together, they may symbolize balance between creative energy and personal empowerment.
- The Sphere: Spheres are universal symbols representing wholeness, balance, and unity. In various traditions, they may also symbolize protection, infinity, or the cyclical nature of life. The sphere’s rotation and transformation could symbolize growth and evolution, hinting at the potential for infinite possibilities.
- The Moon: The moon is commonly associated with cycles, intuition, and the feminine energy of reflection. Its phases reflect the natural ebb and flow of life, often symbolizing renewal, emotional depth, or subconscious awareness. Seeing the moon, especially multiple times, could suggest that your intuition is guiding you through cycles of change.
These interpretations come from various spiritual and psychological traditions, including chakra work, color symbolism, and the study of sacred geometry. However, my approach to meditation and these symbols is more organic—I’m learning and growing, and I encourage you to explore these meanings with the same curiosity. If these symbols resonate with you, or if they appear in your meditations, perhaps they hold a unique significance for your own journey.
Personal Reflection
I’ve always believed that whether through prayer or meditation, there’s an inner space where we connect to something greater—whether it’s our higher selves, divine energy, or simply the vastness of the universe. It’s in these moments of stillness that we often find our deepest insights, the truths that guide us on our paths.
CherryCoBiz and QuietQuest have become such important parts of my journey, and I can’t help but feel that these meditative experiences are connected to everything I do. It’s a reminder to trust the process—to honor both the personal messages and the ones I feel are meant to be shared.
Invitation to Reflect
I’m curious to hear from all of you: Have you experienced similar symbols or visions in your meditations? How do you interpret the presence of lights, spheres, or even the moon? Do you feel there are messages meant only for you? I believe these experiences, while personal, can also create a beautiful space for shared exploration and growth.
Until next time, continue seeking, exploring, and embracing the inner journey. There’s so much beauty waiting to be uncovered.
With love and light,
Terra
