A Fab Five Spotlight from CherryCoBiz
CherryCoBiz has always been my space — my idea, my voice, my legacy. It’s where I pour thought, purpose, and truth into words for anyone who chooses to listen. But every now and then, someone will react without reading, comment without context, or dismiss a message they never even took the time to understand.
And that’s fine.
Because as this week’s Fab Five feature reminds me, nobody has to care what you think.
(The Fab Five series highlights creators who challenge, inspire, or remind us what it means to show up authentically in the world.)
Tom Powell Jr. is a creator who tells it like it is. A writer, podcaster, and commentator, his channel is built on honesty, experience, and unapologetic transparency. He’s not out to please anyone — he’s out to speak the truth as he sees it. Whether he’s addressing politics, culture, or daily contradictions, his words carry weight because they come without pretense.
In his short video, “Nobody Cares What You Think,” Tom shares a tough but necessary truth:
Just because you have an opinion doesn’t mean anyone is obligated to hear it.
If people want to know your thoughts, they’ll make that choice — they’ll listen, read, or stay. But no one can be forced to engage. And when you stop expecting others to validate you, you free yourself to speak from a place of peace instead of frustration.
That’s what I take from his message.
I can’t control who reads my work or how people respond to it. I can only share my truth, fully and authentically, and trust that whoever needs it will find it.
If my words resonate — wonderful. If they don’t — that’s okay too.
Because the real power isn’t in being heard by everyone.
It’s in having the courage to speak with integrity, even when no one’s clapping.
