Love Moves, But Should You?

Daily writing prompt
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Hey lovely readers!

Today, as I relished my refreshing EXTREME SHAKE, packed with all the nourishing goodness essential for a health and wellness aficionado like me, I found myself contemplating life’s vast tapestry. With every healthful sip, my thoughts deepened. And just then, WordPress posed a tantalizing question: “What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?”

Now, just as I’m discerning about what fuels my body, I’m selective about the wisdom I let fuel my soul. While my journey in health and wellness has gifted me countless gems of advice (and a few pebbles too), one shone brighter, resonating deep within: Never move to be with a man; if a man wants to be with you, he will come to you.

Hold on a heartbeat, dear readers. Before you label this as old-fashioned or clichéd, let’s dive a little deeper.

Rewinding to a younger me, a time when romantic tales painted a certain picture of love – one that involved the three big M’s: Marriage, Munchkins, and… Men. Lost in this narrative, I almost believed love had its protocols and benchmarks.

Enter my first best friend, a unique blend of wisdom and whimsy. He held a perspective on relationships as distinctive as the ingredients in my EXTREME SHAKE. And though he occasionally ventured into territories of profound absurdity, his insights on relationships were pure gold.

Fast-forward to my vibrant, roller-coaster-like love history, akin to the myriad flavors in a wellness smoothie bowl. From fleeting romances to soul connections, I’ve savored them all. And amidst these experiences, the aforementioned advice? It’s stuck, as enduring as the benefits of a good health regimen.

So, at the radiant age of 47, I shared this thought with another close friend, curious about its relevance today. The consensus? The wisdom remains untainted by time. It’s less about gender dynamics and more about self-worth. The core message? Value yourself enough to let love come to you.

For all the wellness warriors, love seekers, and everyone navigating life’s journey: Remember to nourish your self-worth, just as you would your body. Love, in its myriad forms, will find its way to a heart that’s ready and receptive.

Because, while love has its whimsical ways, you shouldn’t compromise your life’s essence for it. Let it energize you, not sidetrack you.

Embody the spirit: Love to live and live to love. Celebrate love in all its flavors and relish every heart-healthy bite life offers.

Raising my EXTREME SHAKE to love, life, and everything in between!

Till our next rendezvous, much love in all directions! ???
